100% NATURAL WOOL

FERTILISER

G.R.O.W. Wool Pellets is the ultimate natural slow-release fertiliser perfect for any substrate! Our wool pellets work wonders for veggies, flowers, pot plants, and even large-scale horticulture. G.R.O.W. is an acronym for Great Raw Organic Wool. That’s right; our wool pellets mainly comprise 100% organic raw wool.

THE WONDER OF WOOL PELLETS

ENRICH YOUR SOIL

NPK 9-1-2. (Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium)
Apart from the Macro-nutrients listed next, G.R.O.W. Wool Pellets also contain essential trace elements for growth.
Macro-nutrients
Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium and Sulphur
Micro-nutrients
Iron, Manganese, Boron, Copper, Zinc, Molybdenum, Sodium

RETAIN WATER

G.R.O.W. Wool Pellets holds up to 4 times its weight in water! The wool pellets act as a sponge absorbing water and locking it in for plants to use when needed.

IMPROVE SOIL AERATION

G.R.O.W. Wool Pellets swell, increasing soil porosity, making it easier for water, air and nutrients to pass through the soil for optimal root growth.

FROM THE FARM, BACK TO EARTH

G.R.O.W. Wool Pellets is a slow-release organic fertiliser working hard to enrich your soil for six to eight months before
finally breaking down. Our wool pellets upcycle low-grade wool to a natural fertiliser, returning nutrients back to the earth.

CERTIFIED ORGANIC

G.R.O.W. FERTILISER is certified organic, which means we meet the specific standards and guidelines an accredited organic certification body sets. This certification ensures that G.R.O.W. Wool Pellets are produced and processed using environmentally friendly practices that avoid synthetic pesticides, herbicides, genetically modified organisms (GMOs), and other prohibited substances.

MORE AWESOME BENEFITS

POT A PLANT IN A BAG

Did you know that we produce the unique G.R.O.W. Wool Pellets packaging from the same rigid material used to bale wool on sheep farms?
These wool bales are sold at auctions and shipped all around the world. We bring the empty bale bags back to South Africa, where they are washed and upcycled as the ideal packaging for your wool fertiliser. Once you’ve used the wool pellets in your garden, you can repurpose your 2L G.R.O.W. fertiliser bag as a unique container for your favourite indoor or outdoor plant.
Join our eco-friendly revolution, and let’s make plants-in-wool-pellet-bags the next big thing.
PRO TIP: avoid potential water stains under your bagged plants, by using a suitable waterproof liner to protect the surfaces below.

SNAIL & SLUG BARRIER

Snails and slugs hate wool! We obviously can’t ask them why, but we suspect that the microscopic barbs in wool fibres irritate these not-so-welcome slimy garden dwellers. When applied around the base of any plant, G.R.O.W. Wool Pellets form a barrier that slugs and snails won’t cross. We’re just helping them reconsider their intentions to visit your plants without hurting the little menaces as conventional snail baits do. Tell your neighbour about G.R.O.W. Wool Pellets, and if they tell their neighbours in turn – who knows, soon your neighbourhood might be totally snail free. Watch this video – seeing is believing!

DO YOU HAVE ANY

QUESTIONS OR SUGGESTIONS?

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where can I buy G.R.O.W. Wool Pellets?

You have two options: You can buy G.R.O.W. Wool Pellets either online or in physical stores. To purchase online, visit https://www.bkbonline.co.za and enter “Wool Pellets” in the Search Products section. If you prefer in-store shopping, you can find G.R.O.W. Wool Pellets at any of BKB’s 53 Retail Shops across the country. To locate the nearest store, use this link: https://www.bkb.co.za/retail-shops

How should I determine the amount of G.R.O.W. Wool Pellets to use when potting plants?

Here’s an easy guideline: If you can wrap both of your hands around the pot you’re using, then using one hand’s worth of G.R.O.W. Wool Pellets should suffice for the soil in that pot. For a more precise approach, the recommended ratio is mixing 1 part Wool Pellets with 4 parts of soil for mature plants, and using a ratio of 1 part Wool Pellets to 8 parts soil for seedlings or young plants.

Can G.R.O.W. Wool Pellets be safely used in areas with children and animals?

Absolutely, yes. G.R.O.W. Wool Pellets are completely natural and have organic certification. This indicates that no harmful substances have been introduced during the production process.

What are the available pack sizes for G.R.O.W. Wool Pellets?

Currently, G.R.O.W. Wool Pellets are available in a 2 L bag. We’re also planning to introduce a 5 L package option in the near future. If you’re interested in more packaging choices, please send us a message through this website to let us know your preferences.

How should I store my unused G.R.O.W. Wool Pellets?

Storing G.R.O.W. Wool Pellets is relatively straightforward. Since sheep wool is the primary ingredient, these pellets are resilient enough to endure various weather conditions without needing specific storage requirements like chemical fertilisers. However, remember that wool pellets are hygroscopic, meaning they can attract and retain water, potentially making them heavier to manage. To ensure the best storage, it’s recommended to keep your G.R.O.W. Wool Pellets in their original packaging and place them in a covered area. This will help maintain their quality over time.
